Privacy Policy

Here at Elizabeth Camera Centre we are committed to following the guidelines set out by the Federal Privacy Act of 1988 (amended 2000).

Personal informaton will only be collected from customers in store if a substantial purchase is made. The information collected will be limited to name, address, phone number and possibly email address.

The personal information collected via our website is used for the following purposes:
- Selling, promoting and provision of products and services requested by you.
- Registering and handling of product warranties.
- Providing you with information that you request.
- Sending you additional information on our products and services which we think may be of interest to you. (You may request not to receive this additional information by contacting us)

We do not sell or pass on any personal information to third parties. The information collected is used to fulfil our role as a retailer: to provide products and services to our customers.

Privacy is a sensitive issue. If at anytime you believe we have not adhered to these principles, please let us know and we will make every effort to review and correct the problem. We also welcome your questions and comments about your privacy and our Code of Practice.

Delivery, Returns and Exchanges Policy

Delivery: All our parcels are sent to you by AusPost Registered or ExpressPost and, in some circumstances, we may arrange private courier to fulfill an order. You must pay our standard freight charges for delivery within Australia.

Delivery Requirements: We ONLY send to listed addresses that can be found in the Australian White Pages. At our discretion, we also may refuse to send to a unit or apartment block if we decide that it is an unsafe or difficult delivery location.

Issues With Delivery Or Goods Damaged In Transit: Where there is an issue with delivery or the condition of good delivered, Elizabeth Camera Centre must be notified of any such issues as soon as the customer becomes aware. Items are always delivered within 7-10 business days to even the most remote locations. We therefore will not be made liable for non-delivery or damaged items if we are notified outside of 14 days from the day of the verbal phone confirmation and dispatch.

Exchanges & Returns: In certain cases you can exchange or return your purchase through Elizabeth Camera Centre. To see if you qualify, please call us on (03) 9642 2460 to speak to one of our staff. THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF DELIVERY.

Exchange & Return Requirements: Exchanged/returned products must be in brand new, mint condition. Items must be in the original, undamaged manufacturer's packaging with all packaging materials, including instruction booklets, packing inserts, plastic bags, and the blank warranty cards. The manufacturer's labeled packaging must be enclosed within a new shipping carton.

Please note that the warranty card must not be filled out.

The Secure Shopping Guarantee protects you while you shop at Elizabeth Camera Centre, so that you never have to worry about credit card safety. When shopping with Elizabeth Camera Centre online, you can shop with confidence.

When making your purchases on our secure server, you are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. By using SSL technology, your order information is encrypted to avoid the decoding of that information by anyone other than Elizabeth Camera Centre.

In the unlikely event that you are subject to fraudulent charges, remember to immediately notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

Online Credit Card Transactions

Our secure online ordering system does not charge your credit card immediately. When you place an order, our system queries your bank to verify that your credit card is valid and if so, reserves the necessary funds, but it does not actually settle the transaction. We call you for a verbal confirmation first, and will only complete the transaction when your order is dispatched.

Using this method of credit card processing means your credit card details are NEVER stored on our system. This is for the security of both you the customer and us the retailer. If an order is not completed within four days, or if you request an order be cancelled, the credit card transaction is also cancelled and the previously reserved funds are made available.

As listed in our policy section, all your details are strictly kept for Elizabeth Camera Centre purposes only. We never store your credit card details and ask the bank to only reserve the order total at the time of checkout. Therefore, any order modifications and future purchases will require you to resupply your credit card details.

Pricing & Typographical Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing, quantities available or product information received from our suppliers, Elizabeth Camera Centre shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders, placed for product listed at the incorrect price or not in stock.

Elizabeth Camera Centre shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Elizabeth Camera Centre shall immediately issue a full refund to your credit card account.
